 WILL YOU ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE?

At 51 years of age, my husband Peter Edwards was told he had a GBM brain tumour - stage 4. His condition was terminal - no treatment was available that might save his life, no second chances. Three weeks earlier he had been hiking around Hinchinbrook Island!

WHY TEAM EDDIE?

Peter's students used to call him Eddie. The red shirt and dragon represent Peter's love of Saint George football team.

WHY CHALLENGE ACCEPTED?

Every time Peter and I were given bad news by his medical team I would quietly say to myself ,"Challenge Accepted". We would dig deep and look for positives. Peter wasn't just existing, he was living fully in the moment every day. We focused on doing things that made us happy. After Peter died, I found the same strategy worked for me. I do things that make me happy, and take on challenges that will make my life better.

Accept the challenge today – whether it is helping others in raising money for brain cancer research, or helping yourself live a more fulfilled life, get out of your comfort zone and do something.

Buy a shirt and wear it when doing your challenge. Post a picture on the Team Eddie Facebook page.
